Turkey is a major supporter of terrorism and one of the main instigators of problems, not only in the Middle East but throughout Europe and the U.S. Yet the U.S. and European countries, in their naive stupidity, warmly accept and embrace Turkey as a member of NATO.

This plan for a 2,500-strong force to deter Turkey is merely an “aesthetic gesture” that, at most, will have a small “psychological impact” on Turkey. If you really want to “eliminate the forces of terrorism originating from Turkey,” then you need to work out a plan to “completely neutralize the entire terrorist infrastructure in Turkey and force it to abandon the use of terrorism as a weapon and “accept peace and progress as the only appropriate way out.”

There are many means to do this, but what is missing is "the backbone and the willingness to take some 'substantial action'."
